Children's Martial Arts training in Hornsby

Help your children develop confidence, skills and fitness to serve them a lifetime.

Why join GB kids?

We know how to prepare your child to defend themselves against bullies without turning them into one!

Through leverage-based techniques and verbal assertiveness, we can teach your child to neutralise the situation without reacting with a violent response. We do not teach children how to punch or kick, as we believe this often does more harm than good in the situation. All the techniques are purely defensive and utilize no strikes. Furthermore, we teach children how to defuse confrontations with words and never to initiate physical aggression.

In the Gracie Barra Kids program, we teach the children how to fight fire with water so that you never have to worry about your child becoming a bully under our guidance.

Our Gracie Barra Kids Program is typically subdivided in three different groups to accommodate students of different ages and skill levels:

  • Little Champions I (4-6 years old),
  • Little Champions II (7-9 Years Old),
  • Juniors & Teens (10-14 years old).

What will happen on my first visit?

The first time you come to our school you will be welcomed by our staff. Please arrive 15 minutes before class so you and your children have enough time to prepare for practice. The class will start on time and your child will be asked to walk to the training area where the instructor will be waiting for him or her. One of the assistant instructors or a senior student will be assigned as a helper to assist your child in performing the drills and activities. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch the entire practice.
